Who is the Cosmodent Dental Implant Team ?

Dr. Turker Ornekol and Dr. Serdar Soyturk started inserting implants together in 1989. Being one of the pioneers of implant dentistry in Turkey, the Cosmodent dental implant team, has extensive experience over ten years and hundreds of successful cases.
All the surgery and prosthetics related to dental implants is done by this team. We believe that, to achieve good aesthetic results, it is critical to have the prosthetic doctor in the surgery room during the implant surgery.
As a team, we are ready to share the experience we have with you colleagues.


HOW TO COOPERATE WITH COSMODENT IN DENTAL IMPLANT TREATMENTS?

We will be happy to cooperate with colleagues in treating implant patients. In this relation we will ensure that both sides will be in a win-win situation.

Cooperation in "Implant surgery and implant prosthetics":

This option is for the dentists who do not want to be involved in any stage of implant treatment.
To benefit from this option you should call the appointment coordinator for a consultation. For this consultation we will need a panoramic x-ray of the patient. This will be charged to your patient, but a consultation fee will not be charged. As soon as the treatment plan is decided upon a member of the Cosmodent Team will contact you and ask for your confirmation. In the case that you would like to observe the surgery, you will be most welcome. Cosmodent doctors are very sensitive in returning your patient to you after the case is completed and/or whenever a general dental service is needed.

Cooperation in implant surgery only:

This option is for dentists who do not wish to do implant surgery in their own practice, but intend to do implant prosthetics.
The implant surgery will be done and sutures will be removed in Cosmodent.
After healing is completed, the control X-ray will be taken and the patient will be referred back to his/her dentist ready to take impressions. The Cosmodent implant team will provide the dentist with technical information so that he/she will be able to complete the "prosthetic" section of the treatment in his/her own practice.

Consultation:

If you have a potential implant patient for whom you are not sure what kind of treatment options may be provided, please call Cosmodent for a consultation appointment . For this, we will need plaster models for both jaws and the panoramic X-ray of the patient. This service is free of charge and it is provided only for dentists, not for patients.

At Cosmodent, implant dentistry is the primary option to restore all types of edentulousim. We provide surgical and prosthetic implant dentistry solutions to the following indications:

• Restoration of a missing single tooth by an implant supported crown. (Sample )

• Restoration of partial edentulousim (free end or bounded by teeth ) cases by cemented or screwable crowns. (Sample )

• Rehabilitation of total edentulousim by 2-4 implants, with overdentures. (Sample )

• Rehabilitation of upper or lower total edentulousim by 4-6 implant supported fixed prosthesis with conventional approach. (Sample )

• Rehabilitation of upper or lower edentulousim by a 4-6 implant supported fixed bridge in "the immediate functional loading" approach. The fixed bridge will be delivered in 24 hours time.

TRAINING CENTER FOR BRANEMARK SYSTEM AND REPLACE SELECT SYSTEM IMPLANTS

At Cosmodent, we only use implant systems for which success and safety of the implants have been documented and proven. Also, we believe that to work with a reliable system is very crucial in protecting the reputation of a dentist. The Cosmodent Dental Implant Team is both the medical advisor and training center for Branemark System and Replace Select Systems for Turkey.

COURSES

Nobelbiocare, (Sweden) the most experienced company in implant training, has chosen Cosmodent Dental Implant Team to be its partner in Turkey. The program, derived from the courses conducted by Nobelbiocare, gives the newest and basic scientific information related to dental implants. Courses are listed in the annual "Training Courses Booklet" of Nobelbiocare.

STARTER COURSE

This is a two day, basic implantology course designed for the beginners, and/or for those with little experience who want to improve.
Participants are provided a certificate prepared and sent by Nobelbiocare-Sweden after finishing the course.

PROGRAM

Day 1

• Fundamentals of osseointegration
• Patient selection, radiographic evaluation
• Counter indications and complications
• Implant surgery and prosthetic stages on the phantom
• Treatment planning, surgical technique and prosthetic stages for single tooth cases

Day 2

• Treatment planning, surgical technique and prosthetic stages for partial edentulousim cases.
• Live surgery demonstrations for single tooth and partial edentulous cases

COURSE ON TECHNIQUES OF IMMEDIATE IMPLANTATION AND IMMEDIATE FUNCTIONAL LOADING (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL)

Immediate surgery and immediate function has always been a challenge for dentists.
With high demand and great advantages for the patients , popularity of the technique is increasing among the dentists. In good hands , this can be a great technique in increasing the productivity of the implant practice.

PROGRAM

• Basic knowledge and research on "immediate" concept.
• Patient selection and treatment planning
• Surgical technique and temporization for ANTERIOR SINGLE TOOTH CASE. (Live)
• Surgical technique and temporization for EDENTULOUS MANDIBULAR CASE. (Live)
• Prosthetic steps including cases with Procera Implant Bridge.

CLINICAL OBSERVATION PROGRAM (INTERMEDIATE LEVEL )

Participants will have the chance to observe how an implant patient is treated in daily routine at Cosmodent. All phases of implant rehabilitation will be shown on the patients.
Depending upon the types of the patients available, different surgical techniques like immediate implantation, immediate function, grafting and prosthetic steps, including Procera Implant bridge, will be shown.
